BlueSeal air curtains are designed to fit above the rear or side door on nearly any commercial vehicle featuring a temperature-controlled cargo area, with a variable length that can be tailored to size as part of our standard service. On occasion we also work with companies to deliver something a little different to suit their end use. At Brightec we pride ourselves on our ability to work collaboratively with commercial bodybuilders to create personalised solutions for vehicles that require a different approach. This has included integrating BlueSeal with shutter doors to form an all-in-one unit and modifying equipment to increase airflow for countries that distribute in hotter climates.

Case study
Brightec have developed a bespoke air curtain for leading French commercial bodybuilder Lamberet to feature on their Distri + vehicle range. The new Distri+ models feature a 100% pneumatic and isothermal curtain model unveiled at Solutrans 2019. This latest version of the BlueSeal air curtain is the result of 12 months collaborative work with Lamberet’s R&D department and have been featured on trailers for French supermarket brand Intermarché since 2020.
How BlueSeal works
BlueSeal can be installed with ease on any new or existing vehicle, using a click-system fixed to a mounting plate on the ceiling of the vehicle. These can be fitted above rear loading doors as well as side doors and can be built to your specification.
During loading/unloading BlueSeal is activated automatically. Air is sucked in by BlueSeal and converted into a vertical air curtain that separates the cold inside the trailer from the ambient (hotter) temperature outside the vehicle. Insects, dust and humid air are also prevented from entering the vehicle.
Cold air is kept in the interior of the vehicle during door openings, maintaining the integrity of temperature-controlled goods. The temperature in the cargo space rises significantly slower with an air curtain during door openings than PVC strips.
