BlueSeal air curtains featured at Solutrans 2023

Last week, BlueSeal attended another busy and successful Solutrans exhibition where leading transport companies came together to celebrate the latest innovations in the sector over 5 days in Lyon. Now on its 17th show, Solutrans focussed on five major themes around transport for this year’s event that address some of the key areas facing the world of commercial vehicles :

  • Urban deliveries : Alternative delivery modes for an increasingly restrictive city centre
  • New Energies : Diversifying powertrains, an economic and environmental challenge
  • Tyres : positive impact casings at the hearts of industry issues
  • Retrofit : Improving what already exists, an economical and ecological option
  • Embedded intelligence : supporting the sector towards self-driving

We were delighted to see BlueSeal featured on a range of temperature-controlled vehicles across the show. Lamberet featured two variations of BlueSeal air curtains on their vehicles. For their industry leading SR2, a new modular version of BlueSeal Compact was used over rear doors which is currently being trialled by the group. In addition to this, the group also presented their SR2 X-City vehicle featuring a collaborative project between Brightec and Lamberet in which BlueSeal is integrated into a roller shutter door. This was first trialled for their Distri+ range – you read more about this collaboration at blueseal-aircurtains.com/2020/12/02/partnership-with-lamberet/ For longstanding French vehicle manufacturer Frappa, we saw BlueSeal Compact being used above the rear doors of their refrigerated box truck. And finally, we saw Lecapitaine using our tried and tested BlueSeal Original over the rear doors of their high performance box truck. Lecapitaine deservedly received two awards during Solutrans that were proudly displayed on their stand; a gold metal in the Coachbuilders category and most impressively the Joseph Libner prize for environmentally friendly innovation on show with this vehicle. Using their new Recircle solution, their box truck is made of 97% recyclable materials, marking an industry first and a huge leap forward for the industry.
